Batfish

Boy would I like to see Herman Munster, I mean a short nose batfish (Ogcocephalus nasutus) during one of my future dives. With a range from the Caribbean to northern Brazil, I think my chances are good. Learning to scuba dive for the purpose of seeing underwater sea life as intriguing as this is why decided to take the plunge.

Follow the Livescience link for more interesting creatures. Ryan’s link has a few excellent pictures to view.

Fascinated by the oceans wonders, the Splendid Toadfish, Sanopus splendidus is definitely a unique fish in my humble opinion. Ferreting out one of these unique finds in and between the coral heads of Cozumel, Mexico is a real treat. In May 2006, several of these Jem'Hadar (Star Trek: Deep Space 9 Alien) like creature were spotted and I felt compelled to stare and lose myself in its beauty.
